Spiced Pecans

Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar
1 - 1 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg white
1 pound pecan halves

Directions:

Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl; set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, lightly beat egg white. Add pecans and stir until coated.

Sprinkle sugar mixture over pecans; mix well.

Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Bake at 300F for 20 minutes. Enjoy

Remove nuts from baking sheet while warm to cool on waxed paper.

Barbequed Pecans

"Barbequed" Pecans

2 Tablespoons Melted butter
1/3 c Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon catsup
1/2 teaspoons of your favorite hot sauce
4 c Pecan halves
Salt to taste

Combine the first 4 ingredients. Stir in pecans, and mix well.

Spread pecans evenly in a shallow baking dish.

Bake at 300 for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.

Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt, if desired.

Roasted Pecans

Basic Roasted Pecans

4 c. pecan halves
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. salt

Spread pecans in heavy baking pan and bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Add butter and stir well until all pecans are coated. Bake 15 minutes more, sprinkle with salt and stir well. Bake 15 to 20 minutes more, then remove from oven. Stir well and let cool. Make sure to peek in on the pecans so they don't burn.
